In this tutorial I will show you how to install a laptop keyboard onto a laptop. Laptop keyboards are fairly simple devices and they rarely stop functioning on their own. There are many different types of laptop keyboards in the market and as a result people have to do their research when finding a replacement. Even if the keys look the same the connector on the back might be different and won’t fit into the slot. A lot of people like to replace their whole keyboard even if they only have one or two keys missing because sometimes it’s easier to replace the whole keyboard then just a few keys. The cost of laptop keyboards is fairly cheap so a lot people will replace their keyboard before they sell their laptop just to make it look nicer. I’ll now show you how to install a laptop keyboard.
1. Flip your laptop upside down and find the screws that are connected to your keyboard These screws are usually marked by a keyboard symbol so they’re easy to find. If you don’t see any keyboard symbols then there aren’t any screws from the bottom of the laptop. The screws will be under the top panel above your keyboard.
2. On some models you will have to also unscrew the screws holding the top panel because you will have to remove the top panel first before you remove the keyboard.
3. Now place the laptop right side up and open your laptop lid. Find a little notch or hole and use a pointy metal tool to gently lift the top panel above your keyboard.
4. Once remove you should be able to see if you dell laptop keyboard has any screws holding it down. If there are any screws then remove them now.
5. To remove the keyboard gently slide the keyboard towards the screen and lift up until the keyboard comes free from the case. Be careful not to pull too hard as this could rip the keyboard ribbon out of the connector and damage it.
6. When the laptop keyboard is freed from the case then find the ribbon connector and very gently use your pointy tool to press down on both side of the connector until the ribbon comes out from the slot.
7. When you have completely removed the keyboard place it aside and grab your new keyboard and insert the ribbon cable into the slot and secure it by pushing up on the connector tabs.
8. Place your keyboard back into position and make sure that all the side properly placed under the case.
9. If there were screws then screw them back into the holes and then replace the top panel of the laptop.
10. Make sure all the remaining screws are screwed back in and then start your laptop. Now your done.
Tips:
- Be very gently with the laptop keyboard ribbon as it is a flimsy piece of plastic that can bend or bread easily.

What is Alexa rank and is it accurate ?
According to the Alexa website Alexa traffic rank is based upon three months historical data collected from Alexa toolbar users and other diverse traffic sources. Its not clear what this diverse traffic sources are but the Alexa toolbar usages is a big factor in your Alexa rank. Webmasters and Internet marketers are the ones who are most likely to have the toolbar installed so if your blog is related to web master tools , search engine optimization or Internet marketing your chance of getting a good Alexa rank is pretty high. Because of this bias towards the web master’s it isn’t a very reliable measure of a blog or web sites traffic but since most money making sites consider it as a metric you should work on improving it. Even the Alexa site says that it is not a very reliable metrics.
The traffic data are based on the set of tool bars that use Alexa data, which may not be a representative sample of the global Internet population. To the extent that our sample of users differs from the set of all Internet users, our traffic estimates may over- or under-estimate the actual traffic to any particular site.- Alexa
How to improve your Alexa traffic ranking
The very first thing you have to do is install the Alexa toolbar. A barbeque grill, or simply a grill, is used for slow cooking of food by heating it from below. You have many types of grills available in the market. You have charcoal grills, gas grills and electric grills. Gas grills are easy to clean and also food cooks faster in a gas grill. Most people, who love barbeques, prefer a charcoal grill because they feel that the distinct taste and flavor that you get from grilling your barbeque on a charcoal grill can never be obtained on a gas or electric grill. When you consider buying a charcoal grill, you should take into account the quantity of food that you wish to prepare and then choose a size accordingly. So, are charcoal grills indeed the best? Just have a look at the benefits of charcoal grill and find out for yourself.
Merits and Demerits of a Charcoal Grill
In this section, we shall discuss about the potential benefits of using a charcoal grill and also the major disadvantages of the same.
Benefits of Charcoal Grills
Meat grilled in a charcoal grill has a distinct smoky feel to it which connoisseurs feel can never be found in meat cooked on gas grills. Here are a few more advantages of using a charcoal grill that make it the favorite of most professional chefs.
It cooks the meat slowly and over a long period of time due to which the meat retains its tenderness and remains moist.
The slow and continuous exposure to heat due to slow cooking, causes the fat in the food to liquefy and get separated from the meat. This way the meat gets rid of excess fat and hence, calories!
Nutrients like proteins, vitamins and minerals present in the meat remain intact and hence the end product is much more nutritious.
With a charcoal grill, the temperature of the fire is much higher as compared to a gas grill (as high as 500°F) due to which the food is exposed to more heat. This ensures that the food is properly cooked even on the inside.
A big advantage of using charcoal grills is that you can not only control the temperature of the grill, but also shift the coals to change the temperature of different spots on the grill.
Charcoal grills are the cheapest among all types of grills.
Charcoal grills are portable and easier to carry as compared to the other types.
Disadvantages of Charcoal Grills
In spite of so many advantages, charcoal grills come with a few drawbacks as well. A few of them are given below.
Charcoal grills are messy and require you to clean up after you’ve roasted your barbeque.
They are not easy to light and require a lot of effort from your side.
They are slow and take a long time to acquire the desired temperature.
Occasional flare-ups can be annoying and sometimes dangerous.
You cannot determine the temperature of the grill just by “looking” at it.
You cannot reduce the temperature significantly at one go as there is no knob for regulating the temperature.
The continuous emission of smoke from the grill can be hazardous and on prolonged exposure, may lead to breathing problems.
However, modern charcoal grills come with starters to help you ignite them faster. Also, the problem of detecting the temperature of the grill can be easily overcome by using an oven thermometer. To make your food taste better, place it on the grill such that there is a small gap between the piece of meat you’re grilling and the layer of charcoal. So, if you know the tips to use a charcoal grill and are ready to put the required effort to “prepare” your charcoal grill in advance, you’d be more than happy with the results!
Finally, the type of grill that you choose depends a lot on your lifestyle. Nowadays, when there are so many models of charcoal grill available in the market, it should not be difficult for you to find one that suits your needs. But since more and more people are going for propane or gas grills, choosing a charcoal grill might be a tough decision for you to make. However, if you choose carefully, it can prove to be a great choice indeed!

Truth be told, I have been a little depressed since the past few weeks for my own personal reasons. Who am I kidding? I have been very depressed and my work is the only thing keeping me sane right now. I haven’t been talking to my friends much, haven’t been socializing that often and well, I have isolated myself pretty much. Last night, one of my friends called to check in and the other one messaged me on Facebook. Everyone is worried that I may have fallen into depression. Read over this again. I just told you I have isolated myself from the world. But, how do my friends know that I am depressed? Two words. Social Networking. You are right. I didn’t forget to update my status and let everyone know I am going through the lowest phase of my life. Been down the same road? We all have. Then, my friend suggested that I stop putting up such updates or de-activate my account for a while. She thinks that Facebook is adding onto my depression. What smart friends the almighty Lord has endowed me with! I am not kidding. Now, let me answer the question we all have in our heads but are too scared to face it perhaps; does social networking cause depression?
Signs of Facebook Depression
Pardon me, but this is what psychologists are calling it, the ‘Facebook Depression’. Studies suggest that there is a new kind of depression on the block and you can blame your social networking accounts for it. Though, I’d say blame yourself for spending too much time on them and updating your statuses all the time. Anyway, it’s not an actual medical disorder, it is sort of a social-psychological disorder that more and more people are suffering from. Personally, I believe they call it the Facebook Depression because Facebook happens to be the most widely used social networking site. But, it’s about each and every social networking site that you log on to. Correctly speaking, it is a technology induced disappointment.
The signs of a Facebook Depression are that your psychology as well as your feelings are vulnerable to the posts you view on your home page. Did you know? About 70% American teenagers have a Facebook account, of which more than half check it daily, making them more vulnerable to this phenomenon. Also, children aged between 8 to 18 years are exposed to more than 7 hours of technological usage in the form of cellphones and Internet, as found out in a study. Your teenager could easily become a victim of online bullying and sexual solicitation. Apart from that, the feeling of loneliness definitely creeps up some time when you are upset or disturbed and you don’t know who to turn to. You sit there staring at the screen; 853 friends, 61 online friends. But, who do you talk to? You don’t. Then, all you can feel is that there is absolutely nobody for you. Tell me if that doesn’t make you feel depressed.
And then, your pretty friend uploads a picture of herself with her new boyfriend looking deeply into her eyes while you have been single since months! Now you have to tell me, is social networking causing depression? Does it not make you think about the things lacking in your life? That is what I am talking about. In fact, we all have a tendency of judging others’ happiness levels by the pictures they post; smiling, with friends, on a vacation or a new buy. Do you know? It is said that happiness is over-rated! She won’t tell you if she had a terrible fight 5 minutes after clicking the picture and she cried all night long. A lot of us don’t like to announce to the world that we are sad, while a lot of others just can’t resist doing that. A survey conducted among about 200 students concluded that if you have more than 117 friends, you are more likely to be a victim of social networking causing depression, that those who have less than 95 friends and they know each one personally, quite well.
Once, another friend updated her status that read – “Instead of asking ‘What’s on your mind?’, Facebook should change it to ‘Problem of the day’”. LMAO. Whoops. I mean, hilarious. But, true.
How Does Social Networking Cause Depression?
Everybody has so much to share. You spend so much time on your social networking accounts. So, you obviously get less face time with your friends and more virtual time with almost everyone you are connected with. This further demotivates people from going out and the lesser you get out, the more you get depressed. After all, man is a social animal. We need to meet people in order to stay in touch and be a real part of the society. And then, you read everyone’s happy status updates and see their happy pictures on your wall (of course, nobody really clicks sad pictures of themselves and puts them up on a social networking website). It makes you depressed wondering why is your life not as great as theirs and why are you not happy? Even, if not out of jealousy or self-contempt, you still feel bad for yourself for being left out when your friends are having so much fun. Then, if you read a sad update, it further subconsciously affects your own emotional rhythm and your brain starts thinking it is sad, worsening your emotional state. Were you expecting that reading sad updates would cheer you up? Somehow, we like to think of ourselves as being the only person with so many problems to deal with and that, everyone else gets to be happy while we drown under the burden of pain and misery. In our conscious minds, we only concentrate on how happy others are and how miserable we are. According to research, you are almost 50% more likely to feel distressed if you read a depressed status update by a friend who is close to. Then, you do the not so unexpected and you update your status with a really sad and depressing note. This further makes you think about how depressed you are. Even if you may not be as much, people comment on it to console you and then you self-pity yourself, playing the part of the victim well. See, it is a cycle! Unless, you stop logging in to your account and be less curious about what is going on in others’ lives. Pay more attention to your life and talk less about the bad things happening around you. It may be hard, but it is not impossible. Typing this, my cheeks are red in shame and guilt. Changing subjects, have you heard of accusations citing Facebook as a reason of divorce? Sad, but it’s true.
Do you often find yourself, consciously or subconsciously, checking the number of friends or followers your friend has on his/her list and comparing it to your statistics?
May be we let our kids be exposed to social networking too soon. After all, what would a prepubescent child or a teenager, with sky-high hormone levels, know better? In fact, we can’t even control ourselves from indulging in excessive use of social networking. If you get hooked onto something and use it more than you should, do you expect anything ‘cool’ or productive to happen? No way. We have a 24X7 access to social networking sites through our cellphones. May be we should stop logging into our Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and now even Google+ accounts, all the time. I like to think that it drains out my Blackberry’s battery that has all the applications for being signed in to my social networking accounts. Ironic.
Did you know? Farmville, the popular gaming application on the social networking site, Facebook, has been named by the TIME magazine as one of the 50 worst inventions, for being one of the top reasons of debts in American households. Another study in the UK, has given a similar title to Facebook and Twitter, claiming that they are among the top 10 worst inventions of the decade.
I told you, social networking causes depression. Don’t bury your head in the sand. Let’s face it. We spend so much time on social networking sites because we like avoiding doing other things like taking care of the to-do list, dealing with our problems such as weight issues, unemployment issues, relationship issues and so many other things. Once you log out, all your pending and unaddressed issues come right at you staring in your face. And then, you fall deeper into your depression. In fact, most of us use social networking sites like a tool to tune out the real world because it is so much easier being online when you don’t really have to face people and you can ignore chatting with someone even if you are to be online. I am not saying that social networking sites are the bad guys because so many of us have been helped by them in our businesses to grow or to reconnect with long lost friends or be in sync with people around us. We just don’t know it when we have had enough of our dose of online socializing in a day. Perhaps, it is the FOMO syndrome, the Feeling Of Missing Out, that is keeping us from deleting our social networking accounts. We think we are socializing more with people, but we are actually spending lesser time talking to our friends and family or meeting them. I wonder, if we have become more dramatic since the advent of social networking that lets us express our thoughts freely and publicly.
We all love being in the limelight, even if we don’t admit it. If you don’t have a lot of friends or followers as compared to your peers, you start taking that as an indicator of your social life and judge yourself thinking people don’t like you as much. If you have a lot of friends and people don’t interact much with you online, you think they are avoiding you. Or may be it is an ex’s new post or photos with someone new. What does that do for you? It causes depression. Time to edit your list, huh? The most startling Google suggestions that I have ever read are… okay, wait. Right now, go on Google and type “Facebook causing” or “is Facebook making you”. Read the suggestions and ROFL. I did. LOL. Are rehab centers now going to offer treatments for social networking depression? Hahaha. I should just shut up now. On an ending note,
“What you think or feel, is what you manifest around you.”
The plant Gymnema sylvestre is one of those rare herbs that are high in medicinal value. Naturally found in the forests of India, this plant is known by different names in different parts of the country. One of the primary uses of the plant in medicine is to reduce blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes. In addition to being used as a treatment for diabetes, it is also an effective antiseptic and even heals wounds caused by snake bites. An interesting fact about this plant is that if you ingest the leaves of this plant, the gymnenic acid present in the leaves inhibits the activity of the sugar sensors on your tongue and you find sweet things are sweet no more! The effect, however, lasts for a few minutes only but can help you control your cravings for sweet stuff. So, if you are already in love with this plant and wish to grow a few in your garden, keep reading.
How to Grow Gymnema Sylvestre or Cowplant
Gymnema sylvestre is a tropical plant that best grows in warm climate. So, if you wish to grow this plant you should plant the seeds outdoors so that the plant is exposed to maximum sunlight. Here’s how to grow Gymnema sylvestre in your own garden, in a few simple steps.
Step 1: Selecting a Location
This step is all the more essential if you are planning to grow the cowplant in your garden soil instead of a container. While scouting for a suitable location, look for one that is close to a big tree that is strong enough to support the vines of Gymnema sylvestre.
Step 2: Preparing the Soil
The very first thing that you need to do if you are growing the plant in a container or pot, is preparing the mixture for the pot. Take 1 part of soil and 1 part of good quality manure and mix it with 2 parts of sand. Take a container or flower pot and fill it with this mixture. Now water the soil till it is moderately moist. If you are growing the plant directly in your garden, as opposed to growing it in a pot, then you need to dig the soil till a depth of 1 foot and add large quantities of manure to the soil to make it fertile.
Step 3: Planting the Seeds
Once the soil is ready, plant the seeds and then add water to moisten the soil. Note that you need to plant the seeds at least an inch below the ground surface, if not more. Wait for the plant to grow.
Step 4: Watering the Plant
It is essential that you water the plant and the surrounding soil to keep it from losing its moisture content. It is recommended that you water the plant at least three times a week, for optimum growth under normal weather conditions. Remember that cowplant or Gymnema sylvestre cannot tolerate too much water in the soil.
Step 5: Fertilizing the Soil
Note that watering the plant at regular intervals alone is not enough to promote its healthy growth and that fertilizing the soil with a rich organic fertilizer is also essential. If you have a compost pit in your garden, then you can add the compost thus formed, to the soil surrounding the plant.
Step 6: Mulching the Soil
Although mulching is an optional step, mulching the soil has many advantages, including checking the growth of weeds and helping the soil retain its moisture content. If you are growing the plant in your garden, mulch it at least once a year.
Step 7: Pruning the Plant
Lastly, it is important to prune the plant at regular intervals, once it begins to grow. Pruning is a term used for cutting or removing old and wilted branches to make way for new ones.
So, now that you know how to grow Gymnema sylvestre, you can plant a few seeds in your garden and watch the plants grow, in delight. However, remember that this plant cannot stand harsh winters and if you live in a region that witnesses extreme low temperatures, it is best advised that you grow the plant in a container and keep it indoors during the winter.
Why do most people like Christmas? Apart from the tree, the gifts, the chocolates, the pie or cake, apart from all the shopping, apart from the food and wine, what is it that just makes you feel nice? I think it is the visual appeal of the festival. All those lights glowing in the dark, the colors, the fire-crackers… the night is bedazzled, and it leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling in your tummy! Decorations are a major part or any kind of celebration. No festival really feels like a festival if there is no color, glitter, sparkle and light! String lights help you add just that to any kind of celebration or festival.
There are many interesting ways in which you can use string lights to beautify your garden for an outdoor garden party. Be it a simple barbeque party, or some kind of jubilation, string lights can be used for various occasions. They should be used more frequently than just for Christmas… after all they look so pretty!
4 Fantastic Outdoor String Lighting Ideas
#1 – For Christmas
Make your house look like it is right out of one of those Christmas movies or Christmas carols and tales! Christmas is a fun time for everyone, and so should it be for your house. I am sure you are going to decorate your Christmas tree with a lot of pretty little decorations. One of the best things to do to decorate your Christmas tree would be to hang a few decorative string lights from the top. Another idea could be to make a circle of string lights on the ground around the Christmas tree. You can place your gifts within the circle. While decorating the house, one idea could be to use string lights to outline the door and window frames of the house. If you live in a part where it snows and you are going to build a snow-man, add some light to the snow-man as well! Finally, the walkway in the garden, or the porch can also be decorated with interesting string lights.
#2 – Theme Based String Lighting
Apart from Christmas, many other occasions such as Halloween call for string light decorations. Why not use theme based string lights for such occasions? You can make small pumpkins out of Styrofoam. Cut out eyes and the stereotype wicked smile on the pumpkin and hang them around each or alternate of the string light bulbs and use them to decorate the place. Alternatively you can make a huge pumpkin and hang it by a lamp post that you may have erected in the garden, and then have string lights radiate from the lamp post over your garden in all directions. Even without an occasion, a theme can be worked up for the string lights. You can make Japanese lanterns out of paper and use them, or the traditional lamp post type of paper lanterns can also look charming.
#3 – For Birthday or Anniversary
Who said you can or should use string lights only on festivals? You can use them as a birthday decoration as well! One idea here could be to make Styrofoam lanterns, and then cut out the age in numbers of the birthday boy or girl. This could be a nice idea even for older people as well – your Father’s 50th birthday, your Granny’s 75th birthday etc. You can use a similar idea to celebrate a wedding anniversary as well. Make sure you do not hang such a lantern on each of the bulbs of the string light though. Only a little amount of light is going to come out through the ‘cut-out’; so use them on alternate bulbs, or every third bulb on the string etc. Another idea would be to make a rectangular frame out of sticks and cover it with a thin cloth or paper. That way you can paint the number onto the lantern.
#4 – For a Get-Together
Get-togethers to celebrate somebody’s graduation, or to celebrate somebody’s engagement, a marriage proposal, to get to know your would-be son-in-law or daughter-in-law, or simply a family re-union after a long long time are occasions that call for decorations as well! It doesn’t always have to be ‘guests’ and ‘friends’ who get to enjoy the string lights… why not your own family as well? A good idea for a get-together would be to leave out the ‘hanging’ string lights and go for ‘grounded’ lights. Instead of having string lights hanging in the garden, choose to decorate the walkway, or the tables. You could even decorate only the garden canopy or patio. If you have a huge tree in the garden – one that particularly stands out – use the string lights to decorate only that tree. Basically, let there be a vantage point, a highlight of the garden-scape that you adorn with the string lights.
Some General Tips
You can use LED lights if you plan to accommodate for dancing as well.
Colored string lights could be a good way to decorate your garden. Coordinate the lights with the item being decorated – green for trees, orange for wooden furniture and so on.
Make sure you do not let the string lights come anywhere near water taps and sprinklers that you may have in the garden – it might just fuel a mishap.
Make sure the string lights do not come in the way of your guests and obstruct moving about in the garden.
Keep them safely away from the reach of children.
The kind of lights you choose for an outdoor party can greatly change the look of your garden and take something ordinary and make it extraordinary. Personally, I do not like LED or colored string lights. There is something very pristine and dainty about the traditional yellow string lights. Personally, I love them and think they look the prettiest! But of course, all those for whom ‘variety’ and ‘color’ is a priority, there are lots of colorful options. I guess these are some easy outdoor string lighting ideas you can try out. Here’s wishing you happy times ahead…!
Many a people who are talented cooks or those who are capable to pool in a significant amount of capital, think of getting into a restaurant business. The whole idea can be exciting as food business is often said to have more than 500% returns. Quite a figure that is! Yet almost 90% of restaurants fail in less than 2 years from their inauguration. The upside is that we can predict the major cause behind the failure of these restaurants and thus avoid chances of failure in the first place. My article will help you avoid common mistakes made while starting a restaurant business.
Failing to Plan…is Planning to Fail
Initial Planning
One of the foremost steps before you plunge into a restaurant business is to plan perfectly. Entrepreneurs often take this step for granted and skip it thinking that planning can be done gradually at subsequent stages or as and when the situation so demands. It is advisable to decide beforehand about how much capital you can invest in your business initially. This requires your time and patience as people usually give up their existing career to concentrate on a new venture. Moreover, your plan should be customer centric. You may think about what kind of cuisine you would like to specialize in or what kind of customers you are expecting to visit your restaurant. What I mean to say is, plan something unique and original but let it be as per the taste and preferences of customers that you are targeting rather than your personal choice.
Choosing Location
Location is a key factor to drive customers towards your restaurant. Imagine opening a family restaurant located in a business district of a city or a fast food joint meant to attract youngsters in some not very ‘happening’ places! Agreed, that a new entrepreneur looks out for location of the restaurant first and then starts planning the other things. However, it is wrong to choose a crowded location just because it has a lot of footfall. Instead, grab an attractive location which has enough customers that prefer the delicacies offered at your restaurant. Similarly, restaurants with expensive menu will only work in areas that can attract elite clientèle. Also, it is wrong to choose a location with ample competitors as your neighbors. Instead, choose a location which will give you a monopoly in the kind of food you serve.
Making Agreement
Agreements usually come into picture when a restaurant business is started between two or more partners. Often, such businesses are started in a haste and partners fail to put in signed partnership agreements in place. This often creates a tussle over the capital invested and sharing of profits in the future. It is incorrect to assume that profits can be shared equally when only one partner is actually working and the other one is just collecting cash at the end of the day. Such agreements clearly specify the partner’s profit sharing ratio, amount of drawings permitted, amount of capital that can be withdrawn, nature of partnership eg. active or sleeping partners, and nature of distribution of assets in case of dissolution of partnership.
Ambiance
A restaurant’s ambiance is often a key factor in attracting the customers. When catering to a particular segment, the restaurant should have an ambiance befitting to the tastes of that customer segment. This concept also helps plan your budget when starting the restaurant. Interior designing is one major expenditure for a restaurant business in it’s earlier stages. If you are planning to open a restaurant where you expect majority of customers to opt for a take away, then it just doesn’t make any sense to spend on expensive décor and seating furniture.
Choosing Menu
It is totally wrong to assume that people will fall in love with whatever you serve after reading a good newspaper rating. Instead, it is better to choose a menu that is appealing to palette of customers that you wish to target. It would be a bad option to open an Indian food restaurant in an area when most of the customers in the vicinity prefer Mexican or Chinese food. Another major mistake made by new restaurateurs is that of making a long list of menu so that they can satisfy all the customers. Instead, it is advisable that one should create a shorter menu with best of the best delicacies that you can serve.
Correct Pricing
There is no business that ever runs on principles of charity. The biggest mistake that restaurateurs make is failing to analyze the cost of purchasing raw materials, the amount of investment involved in appointment of staff and ambiance, expenses related to cooking and the normal profit margin. People often fix menu prices based on assumptions about the customer’s purchasing power or the prices fixed by competitors. Instead, entrepreneurs need to think about all the above mentioned costs before arriving at a price. If you wish to fix prices that are cheaper than your competitor, try to reduce the cost of investment without bargaining with quality.
Customer Service
It is necessary to appoint trained staff to offer service to your customers. If your business is small scale then you may personally offer services to your clientèle. This concept is very common in some family owned restaurants. Remember, customer is the king. It is because of them that you are in restaurant business in the first place. If they are not satisfied, then all your efforts and expenses are likely to go down the drain. Be helpful and ready for a quick smile. Do not be disheartened over negative responses as there will be positive responses too.
Analyzing Returns
One top reason for failure of a restaurant business is failing to analyze the business returns. Entrepreneurs who fail to take profits and returns seriously, tend to have a policy of just adding whatever income gets generated and deducting whatever expenses are incurred. It is important to analyze at regular intervals if you are making profits or running into losses.
Advertising
A new restaurant may require extensive initial marketing and advertising. So opt for all those advertising mediums that are favorite with your targeted customers. Eg. When targeting young clientèle, advertise aggressively in areas like youth magazines, popular websites or shopping malls. You may have to offer discounts and offers at initial stages, but once the business starts rolling, these expenses will catchup with your returns. With increased reputation, your best advertisers will be your satisfied customers and their medium is naturally ‘word of mouth’ publicity!
All in all, opening and running a successful business is not a jackpot. Anyone with a sound knowledge of marketing and a good common sense can do this. I have just tried to simplify your way by alerting you about the most probable mistakes. Best wishes for your new venture!

Flamenco Dance Costumes
For Her
Flamenco costumes are far more elaborate for women, as compared to those for men. Black and red are the most popular colors for the costumes, though other colors are also used often. They can be made as a single piece or in two elements, as the blouse and the skirt, which are described below in further detail. Costumes are usually made from cotton fabrics and also involve the use of a whole lot of lace.
Bata de Cola
Probably the most elaborate and extravagant piece of costume in a flamenco dance. With its long-flowing train of ruffles, this is a single piece, with a snug waist. This costume can be very heavy, and the train itself can measure up to 5 feet, trailing behind the dancer. Dancers shake and raise the bata de cola in a manner that it moves perfectly with the rhythm. The bata de cola is best left to extremely talented flamenco dancers, who know just the right tricks to maneuver it impeccably while dancing on the intricate steps.
Blouse
Blouses usually have sleeves, which might measure only up to the elbow or all the way down till the wrist. Sometimes, blouses come pleated with ruffles on the sleeves, and give it a puffy look. The blouses feature different types of necklines, with cuts ranging from sweetheart, round to V-shaped, etc. Many tops also come equipped with a layer of lining, that helps absorb perspiration, keeping the dancer comfortable.
Skirt
Flamenco skirts are usually of two types, the ones used by skilled dancers for a performance, and those used by learners during practice sessions. Skirts are always tight-fitting at the waist, and are long enough and reach the feet, and flare extensively as they fall below the hip area towards the legs. They are always of a loose fit to facilitate the dance steps. Skirts can also feature ruffles, which can either be circular, or clustered up and rectangular in shape.
Skirts for performers are usually made from many layers of high quality fabric, which hp 497694-001 battery can also be rather expensive, whereas practice skirts come in single layer, and are fairly cheaper. Polka dot prints are common to these skirts. For the best fit, it is advisable to get your skirt stitched from a tailor, even though ready-made skirts and blouses are easily available.
For Him
A male flamenco dancer does not have as wide a variety in costumes as compared to his female counterpart. Men normally wear a shirt underneath a vest, over tight-fitting trousers, which are traditionally black. Sometimes, men tie a scarf around their necks.
Accessories
A whole lot of accessories accentuate this flamboyant dance style. Traditionally, men wear Cordoba or straw hats. They also hold castanets (called palillos in Spanish) in their hands, which are secured to their thumbs, and shake it rhythmically to create a sound that imitates the clapping of hands. Women hold fans adorned with laces which highlights their graceful hand and wrist movements. Women also adorn their hair with flowers. Many times, women also drape a manton, which is made from silk and similar to a manila shawl, over their skirts, which gives a very gypsy-like feel to the whole costume. Shoes, or zapatos are a very important accessory, and the sounds they create when the feet are tapped add to the dance rhythms. Nails are driven into the soles of the shoes, including the areas where the heels, toes, and balls of the foot rest for maximum sound effect.
So now you know the ensemble hp laptop battery needed for flamenco. Choose your costume wisely, depending upon your skill set. Whenever you dance, don the costume, along with the accessories, especially the shoes, and practice a lot, so you can learn to manage it and move effortlessly. The more you practice, the better and more refined your moves will get. Happy dancing!
The overall picture of the U.S. and global economies is becoming harder to determine on a daily basis. The vast majority of data coming from domestic sources paints a grim picture of the U.S. economy. toshiba pa3594u-1brs battery Unemployment is locked in at over 9.1% and there is nothing to indicate that better times are ahead. In fact, downward revisions from the first half of the year for overall growth indicate that the economy may already be contracting and in a recession. The fact that no real recovery has been realized since the financial collapse of 2008 has many claiming that we’re actually already in a depression.
But whatever terms you want to throw at describing the current macro-economic situation we’re in is rather immaterial. The biggest hurdle the global economy faces at the moment is that sovereign debt is out of control, and the system as it currently exists is not equipped to handle that contingency. Greece is grabbing all of the headlines and the attention of Euro leaders today. But even with new bailout agreements, austerity measures, and claims of solidarity among Europe’s economic powerhouses, few truly believe that this problem is going away. Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, and perhaps other nations, toshiba equium a200-196 keyboard simply don’t have the potential for GDP growth outside of bubble conditions to allow them to keep up with their existing and future debt loads. Eventually, the same will be true of the U.S. and other global economic powers.
Even with new rounds of QE, which are now practically a certainty, the long-term prospects for recovery are non-existent on a global scale. The only way to move forward with a healthy global economy is to allow the toxic debt situations to die, regardless of how painful it might be in the short term.
We speak often of the fear of “contagion”, but the fact is that the global economy is already sick – and it’s because the powers that be have refused to let the infectious veins die off naturally. Once the infected pieces have died, new, healthier pieces may emerge to take their place. Until that happens, the entire body will continue to die a slow and painful death.
If Democrats want to know how they’re likely to fare in the next full-scale Congressional elections, and in the presidential election in 2012, they probably need not look further than New York and Nevada, two states that just elected Republicans to House seats in special elections. In New York’s Howard Beach area, toshiba pa3535u-1bas batteryRepublican Bob Turner defeated Democrat David Weprin to take over the vacated seat of disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner. For a Republican to win in such an urban region is almost unheard of, as the Democratic party tends to appeal to those in such areas.
In Nevada, Democrats were crushed in a special election. In the wake of those losses, key Democratic Party contributors voiced displeasure with President Obama. Said one source, “People feel betrayed, disappointed, furious, disgusted, hopeless.” Noted Democratic House Whip Steny Hoyer, D-Maryland, “I think every election reflects on the person in charge, but do I think it is an overall statement on the president alone? No. Do I think it will be interpreted as being a statement on Obama? That’s probably correct.”
The defeats also had Democrats grousing about the way Republicans are acting in Congress, noting that they’re being tremendously demanding and hard to get along with. Noted Rep. Henry Waxman, toshiba laptop battery D-California, “The Republicans want us to repeal the 20th century, the New Deal, the Fair Deal, to turn us back to the robber barons running the country, and to eviscerate the environmental and other regulations to protect public health and safety and to cut spending in ways that would be very harmful to people who rely on government.”
As a note to Waxman – now, in the wake of such a major drubbing in two elections – is not the time to complain about Republicans. Voters in two regions just chose them over your party. As for Waxman’s comment about people who “rely on government” – such concepts could just be at the heart of why the Republican Party just won in those two elections.
